Ombabi is a livestock and farm records application operated by the Ombabi team at the University of IUM. This policy explains what information the app handles and the choices available to you.
Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, Ombabi may handle your email address or mobile number for authentication, your profile information, farm names and locations, livestock records, encounters, notes, photos, documents, and device notification information.
How information is used
We use this information to provide authentication, save and display your farm records, support synchronization when enabled, provide notifications you request, improve reliability, and respond to support or account-deletion requests.
Offline storage
Ombabi is designed to work offline. Records created while offline are stored on your device. If you use cloud synchronization or other connected features, relevant records may also be transmitted to our backend services to provide those features.
Photos, documents, and location
The app only accesses photos, documents, camera, or foreground location when you use a feature that needs them and your device permissions allow it. You can change permissions in your device settings.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help us provide authentication, email or SMS delivery, notifications, hosting, storage, and error monitoring. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services.
Retention and security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Local records remain on your device until you delete them or clear the app. Connected records are retained according to the account and service settings that apply to your use of Ombabi.
Your choices
You may stop using the app, disable permissions, request access or correction, or request deletion of your account and associated connected data. See Delete account for instructions.
